Paris

2000

Paris is a wide and continuous videoprojection of a series of ten sequences. Each one is based on the same model, but in a different parisian place: a woman is walking non-stop and departs in the axis of the camera. When she becomes reduced on the screen, a video effect, the digital zoom, enlarges the image and recovers the original composition, and so on.
The pixels are thus enlarged but also appear artifacts related to the compression of the image. This effect is applied until the disappearance of any figure and the birth of a random abstract composition.
